Big Hill Springs Provincial Park – Icy Waterfall

It was a grey and overcast morning today so I went out with the intention of getting some black and white photos. There is a park  about 45 mins from my house with a cool little stream and waterfall – Big Hill Springs. I had my ND filters with me so I figured I’d have some fun with them. The first time I ever came to this park I went with a friend. We had our tripods set up and were shooting some of the stream when he looked and said “Holy Sh!t – there’s a bear!” I looked up and about 30 feet away I spotted some black fur on a very large animal – my heart raced and I was preparing a defensive maneuver in my mind with my tripod. After about 20 seconds I got a really good look and it turned out to be a cow – bahaha! We had a pretty good laugh and determined to carry bear spray for any future adventures!
