While we were at Johnston Canyon we stopped at one of the benches to enjoy the view and change lenses. I heard the ruffle of feathers behind me and looked up to see this cutie. Ravens are very smart – and completely different from crows – and this one must be familiar with people. I was lucky enough to still have my 100mm on so I snapped a couple quick pics before he took off. I’ve never been that close to such a cool looking bird in the wild. We were within 3 feet for at least 2 minutes. It was very cool!
