The beaches in Tofino are littered with a ton of driftwood. Many of the pieces are from the massive trees that grow in the rainforest there. Once the wind, water and sun do their jobs they become works of art! This one was shot on Florencia Bay beach early one morning. I was at the beach just after the sunrise and was the only person there for over 2 hours. I ended walking the whole length of the beach and back. This old tree was at the halfway mark. It had to have been there for 75-100 years. It was so massive – from top to bottom it had to have been 9 ft tall.
